Fred Steiner of Bluffton, Ohio, has been named executive director of the Council on Church and Media. Steiner is editor of The Bluffton News, a community weekly newspaper. He is the Year 2 Gather ‘Round curriculum writer for high school youth. In addition, he is an adjunct instructor in photojournalism at his alma mater, Bowling Green State University. He participates in the Ohio Newspaper Assocation, where he is a member of the Weekly Newspaper Committee. Prior to joining the Bluffton News he was director of editorial for CSS Publishing Co., Lima, Ohio, a lectionary-based resource for mainline clergy. Steiner and his wife, Mary, who is an adult and graduate admissions representative for Bluffton University, edit the Central District Conference publications “The Reporter” and “Focus.”
