Membership is open to individuals and groups interested in communication and church issues. AC is especially designed to serve those affiliated with the Historic Peace Churches of North America.

AC has four types of membership:

• Personal - individuals, particularly those not affiliated with a church organization or business. The annual membership fee is $50 U.S./Cdn.
• Corporate - church-related organizations, businesses, mission groups, or divisions (but not entire religious denominations). The annual corporate membership fee is $190 U.S./Cdn. This fee covers membership for four people -- one contact person and three associate members -- from the same organization. Additional associate members may join at the cost of $50 U.S./Cdn. per group of 1-5 from the same organization.
• Student/Retired- College students studying communication or a related field/retired communicators.  $30 U.S./Cdn. includes the part-time registration fee for students and retired communicators for the AC conference.  Students and retired communicators who register full-time for the conference at the reduced rate of $75 also receive a one-year AC membership.
